Hosts Pam and Daryl Foulis offer homestay accommodation in their architecturally designed modern rural home at Mundulla (10kms from Bordertown). Enjoy the unique country atmosphere of Mundulla and its surrounding swamplands, vineyards and rural landscapes, featuring the beautiful red gums it is famous for. Relax with a drink on the verandah and watch the fascinating and diverse birdlife in the large landscaped garden, or take a walk down a tree lined country road in the evening to unwind after the drive.
A small colony of the endangered Bush Stone Curlew makes its home in the common land around Mundulla. It is a shy, ground dwelling, large bird which stands on long gangly legs, but can fly and is most active at night, more often heard than seen. We regularly hear their eerie, wailing “weer-lo” call at night as they forage through the property.
